Slope Analysis

Can autocadd 2004 do a slope analysis of a site contour model?
I also have autodesk map would that do the trick?
I have to determine buildable areas based on slope.

I believe Map 3D (http://usa.autodesk.com/adsk/servlet/index?siteID=123112&id=3081357) 2005 or greater has some "Slope Analysis" capabilities.
