Pantone Color Cue - Anything cheaper and better?

We are looking at getting a Panotone color cue to allow us to get our finished colors closer to our final paint and materials color. The only problem is this little piece of hardware is very pricey. Are there any better/cheaper ones out there?

Any thoughts would be greatly appreciated.

Thanks for the website. I was wondering if anyone knew of a device like the Pantone Color cue that will read the RGB values of a color. Then you can use those colors for Renderings.
