Can anyone tell me if this is intended to be ok? I have not done it in the past but can see the use for 2 copies open if working on 2 projects all day.

Any chance of corrupted program files?

Not sure if it would work, (no reason it shouldn't) but why wouldn't you just open both projects in the same Revit session?

I do it all the time, just recognize you need a ton of free memory.

Me to,
I don't have to scroll the window menu to much

To bad you can't copy - paste between the two running programs

thanks brown, i have 4 gig of ram so it should be fine, usually revit isnt using more than 300 meg a session anyway. (although windows is only recognizing 3.2gig) i need to move to win 64, just waiting for the first SP to come out.

If i have multiple files open in one session of revit, sometimes it can be hard to navigate through all the windows......and if the 2 projects are similar i could end up working on the wrong one on accident.

Thanks!

Helps if you have two monitors.

I usually have one copy rendering and the other I use to get my work done.

I do this a lot - with linked files you have to open another session of Revit to edit the links.
