I am using worksets on a project to help manage its size and the main elements of the project. I am also doing extensive site work, so I have a seperate site plan w/ topo work. I have done this before w/o problems, but this time I have a central file, and working file. It made sense to me that it would be best to link the central file to the site plan since this is more of a master copy, BUT after working succesfully yesterday, today when I opened the site plan I got errors saying that the link was corrupt and would be deleted. I opened the mange links dialog and reloaded from the working file instead of the central file and it comes in fine.

It this then the standard? - link the working file not the central file?

You should be able to link in the central file, and that is usually the right way to go. Are you able to open the central file with File | Open?

Yes, I have no problems working on or opening the central file. For now it is not a problem because linking to the working file works, but it was strange to get that error since there was not a problem the day before. At least when I changed the path to the working file the link came in with the same saved location and height. The error requested that I send the file to support, but I don't have time.
