Help please...

I have a Compac Presario X1000 notebook
Intel Pentium 1400 mhz 340 MHz
251 MHz
512 Ram
Virtual Memory paging file size 768 mb
XP Home Edition 2002 service pack 1
Mobility Radeon 9200

When in 3d mode and doing a spin in dynamic mode my mouse always freezes within seconds no matter how small my dwg file is.
Any suggestions where I need to upgrade to eliminate this.??

Have you tried downloading/installing the very latest mouse drivers ?

I have not downloaded any drivers. I am using the mouse pad that is built into the computer where you drag your finger across. I dont know what it is called and there doesn't seem to be any adjustments to it for "tapping hardness" or anything else. Just generic mouse software it looks like.

I downloade synoptics touch pad and things seem to be working ok in 3d spin now but the touch pad doesn't work on tapping. This is a good thing though as it was to sensitive and always was "entering" when it should't.

I don't know which version of the driver you are using, but my synaptics touchpad has the option to use touch clicking. I turn it off, because it tends to be way too sensitive and picks things up that it shouldn't. Or it's not sensitive enough and it is really hard to consistently click. Actually, I almost always use a wacom graphire with my laptop anyway.
