What do I do if I have a dormer-type roof that has its peak slightly above the main roof peak? In real life the ridge of the main roof would jump up to meet the ridge of the dormer, but of course if I use the Join Roofs tool, I get a flat spot along the top of the extended portion of the roof.
It needs to look like my crude MS Paint drawing :p and I'm also attaching how it is right now in Revit.

Well for the time being I just made a very small piece of roof to fill in that flat spot (we really only need elevations to present for Design Review at the city), but I would still like to know if there's a more "correct" way of doing it.

This may be a design consideration: Have you considered adjusting the pitch of the dormer to meet at the main roof ridge? Is the one roof existing? or both dormer and main ridge new construction?
It may be a 'cleaner' way to build it.
just a suggestion

patricks I am with you on this 100% we do these types of roof daily and it really is not to difficult to build it in the field yet it is a monster to do in Revit. Just my 2 cents worth.

This is all new construction. My boss did the design, and I think he wants the roof of this middle portion, which projects out from the front of the building, to go higher than the main roof.
I suppose my "fix" will have to do for now, it looks correct in elevation and the roof plan.
