drafting fill patterns??

I am presenting some 3d views in shading with edges form and have run into some problems with drafting patterns. Some of my walls are stone veneer and I have applied a drafting pattern from stone cad. I tried to make this a model pattern, but for some reason Revit will not let me import these .pat's in the model form. When I generate some camera views, the walls with drafting patterns become black. In the visibility graphics menu I can edit the color of the walls, but it just changes the color of the walls from black to whatever I choose and I still cannot see any pattern on the walls. Any help would be appreciated.

Sounds like when imported the scale of the pattern is way too small. You'll need to edit the *.pat file to make longer lines.

I thought this was the problem as well, but in elevation and in the 3d view, the patterns look correct. Only in a camera view do they become a problem. Any suggestions as to why Revit won't let me import as model patterns?
