Columns in RB8 cut pattern

Is it just me or is this a possible bug, the architectural columns in RB8 now can have a course scale fill pattern of whatever we choose however if you a material specified for your columns it will override the course scale fill pattern? Try it for yourself and see if I am truly go crazy. First place a column in your drawing then go to the properties of the column, then select the edit/new button and change you course scale fill pattern to solid, next right underneath that select the material and change it to any other material you want, then ok all the way out of the properties dialog boxes. Now look at your column in the project notice the column has the material pattern assigned to it and not the course scale fill pattern you assigned to it. Anyone else see this stange behavior?

Yes, I've noticed this as well. The only work around that I could find is to

1. Make it a structural column so joined walls don't flood it with other hatch.
2. Make a solid black material and switch it back and forth using the edit/new properties when changing from coarse to medium.

In other words...the coarse graphics only work when the material is 'by category' and no material is assigned to that category. Kinda sounds like a bug to me although I'de love to be proved wrong.
