I was handed a project today. My assignment is to do the CD's. So it is an interiro completion in a shell. We did the shell. So the model is complete. However, we copy the shell porject and then do our completion. Whoever started it did not set the shell as an existing phase. All the room tags are placed. So I try to change the shell walls to existing and I get an error "Can't modify elevation profile sketch" or something like that. So I just create a new phase "Interior Completion" and move all my new stuff to that phase. Set my phase to "Interior Completion." And I chose "Don't copy Room Tags" in a dialogue box. Was that bad? Now my room schedule show all the rooms that were there before but if I try to tag a room I get the generic "Room" as the name. Any ideas? Thanks.

Room tags are phase specific.
If you have your view set to the latest phase, any tags from previous phases are no longer "seen", so you can now re-layout the space and add the new tags.
As for the room schedule, duplicate it, and then set the duplicated schedule's phase (properties dialog) to match your latest phase.
You'll now have two schedules, one showing the existing phase rooms, and one showing the latest phase rooms.

You should be able to copy to clipboard room tags (use filter selection) in original view, change view to view of newly added phase, and paste tags in 'current view'.

This may not affect you if your project is clearly a tenant fit-out within a finished shell. However, if you have demo, having different room names in the existing phase from the new phase will be a problem unless you create an intermediate demo phase. If this is your situation, read my post on this other thread: phasing & demo thread (http://forums.augi.com/showthread.php?t=13324)
