Is there a way to make Wall hatching in Revit export to a specific AutoCAD layer and a different colour from the wall boundary lines?

I have tried changing the export layer template but all components of the wall always end up on the same layer.

Wall surface patterns yet...cut patterns no, not yet. Post processing in Acad is the quickest way to resolve hatches. Writing a routine that selects all hatches on your wall layer and moves them to another is very effective. Or more simply, a selection set filtered for hatches and then reassign them to another layer.
