I am attempting to create a stand alone deployment for AutoCAD Mechanical 2006
The deployment creation works fine and gets an authorization from Autodesk at the time the deployment is created.
When I try to deploy the package to a user it installs as an un-authorized version.

I have tried to map to the network share where the deployment is stored and have used scripts to deploy the software.
Scripts have worked well for me with previous versions both stand alone and network installations.
Does anyone have a good example of a script that would install AutoCAD Mechanical 2006 from a deployment image?
I created the script using the Sample Script provided by Autodesk on the install disk and I suspect some switch is triggering the trial install.

When I try to deploy the package to a user it installs as an un-authorized version. That is how it is designed to work. Otherwise you would be able to install unlimited copies of your software without autodesks knowledge.

The deployment is supposed to install an unregistered version valid for only 30 days?
I need to be able to send the deployment out to users so they can install the software, start the product and begin work.
If each user has to register the software with Autodesk, who knows what they will do.
There has to be a way to get this installed with an activation.

If you can't have your users click a few buttons, me thinks you might have bigger problems than getting the software activated automatically.

Of course, if you were using a network license configuration, we wouldn't be having this discussion since the software would look to the license server right from the get go & wouldn't require activation since you already would have all the licenses you need.
