What is it exactly that wblock does? how does it decrease the file size so much more than a purge. Is there anything i should be wary of when i wblock an entire drawing?

WBLOCK stands for Write BLOCK which writes objects or a block to a new drawing file.

yes... The entire drawing could become one solid block.

Have a browse of the following thread (and its associated links), should give you a few hints / ideas...

The drawing file size if large, but there is hardly anything in it. (http://forums.augi.com/showthread.php?t=16340)

Have a good one, Mike
