Images in linked DWG files

I link images into my DWG files because revit always tries to resize images embedded on their own per view scale, which is unhelpful if the image is an aerial site photo, or scanned survey...problem is, when i import the linked DWG, the image file often appears offset from the location in the DWG, so it doesn't line up in revit when it does in AutoCAD. Is this a BUG or does anyone have a better way?

Have you tried using the resize tool to get the images in Revit to the correct scale and then lock them ?
