Creating Dentil Molding using the railing method?

There was an earlier posting about creating dentil modling using the railing method. Would someone please explain how this is done.

create a balluster family that is your dentil shape, also create any profiles you would like used behind the dentil, then load these into you project and create a new railing style using these pieces. You may also want to make a post family that is the corner dentil.
