I want to disable the new features workshop on AutoCAD 2006. We have a small standalone network, meaning no internet connection. AutoCAD was installed and now it gets hung up when a new user logs in. We figure its the new feature workshop that appears when you first open AutoCAD. If you hook the said computer to a network with internet access AutoCAD loads up and runs fine. But without the access it just stops while trying to load the drawing 1. Is there anyway after the fact to stop the new features workshop from loading for every new user?

Hi
Please note I have *moved* this thread from the Networks (http://forums.augi.com/forumdisplay.php?f=33) Forum to this one as I believe it would be better served here.
Thanks, Mike

You had my hopes up that I was actually gonna get an answer. Actually think now its not the new features workshop as we uninstalled it. But something else is blocking it from finishing the load.

Hi
I think you want to be looking at the Communication Center instead, refer to the AutoCAD Online Help Files [F1] for information on this facility.

Actually I don't think that is the problem. Though looking in the same place I found this:

The description sounds the same as what we are experiencing. I'm gonna give it a whirl, even though i can't figure out why AutoCAD would care about Internet Explorer options.

I wanted to follow up on this. It was the solution I posted. AutoCAD wanted to connect to the internet to verify the certificate.

Thanks for the update Jason, I'm sure this will help someone else out in the future. :)
