Does anyone know of a DLL or program i could reference in VB6 that would read the block library of an AutoCAD drawing without having to open the drawing in AutoCAD? I just want to determine if the drawing has 2 certain blocks in it before it get sent to our customer. Thanks

You need to clarify if "without Autocad" means "not installed" or "not running". VBA can read a dwg without opening it in the dwg editor by using ObjectDbx. In order to read it without acad installed on the pc, you will need OpenDwg (http://www.opendwg.org/). I havn't been to their site in a couple of years, so I don't know if its still free or not.
