Curved curtain walls should be available since they can be constructed. If this is difficult we could use the segments feature like roofs.

Is it possible you just don't know how? You can make them! You sketch the arc and only after you place curtain grid lines does the curtain wall take on the shape of the arc. You can also apply them to the faces of massing to create curvy undulating curtain walls.

I thought dpasa was refering to actual curved glass segments as opposed to angled segments...

This can be done also just substiting the panel for a custom made panel with an adjustable radius...

Yes Mr Spot, this is what I wanted. I will try your idea with curved panel

I have not got into the curtain walls yet. Now we have a project that has curved glass. Can you describe how best to get the curved glass with the vertical mullions?

Thanks.

Although curved glass is "frikkin" expensive. One can achieve it in Revit, using a Family Curtain panel that is built with a curve in mind.
Here one to try.

Zeds, thanks I tried your panel and it work rather well. dhurtubise, I do not have 8.1 installed yet so I could not open yours.

Zed, yours worked but I was wondering how I could get the glass to have the same curvature as the wall that it is in. In addition, the frames are not curving. How would anyone suggest to get my bottom and top frame to curve just like the glass and wall. One other thing, the location of the side frame actually cuts into the wall incorrectly. It does not position itself perpendicular to the wall. How can this change? Does this kind of window need to be created by use of an inplace family? If so, can it be scheduled and cut into the wall? How?

Maybe these images will help.

Thanks.

For the same curvature between your panel and CW i would try a Shared Parameter.
Not sure i totally understand what you mean by curve mullion

I was wondering about using a shared parameter, just not that familiar with them yet especially in such a specific case.

What I mean is not in regard to the vertical mullion but rather the top and bottom frames and any horizontal mullions that we might add as the project design progresses. You can see in the first image that the frames are oriented as if they would be set in a straight line from the side vertical mull to the middle vertical mull. The bottom and the top frame should curve just like the wall and the curved panel, not in straight segments.

Does that help explain it?

Build the top and bottom mullions into your panel family as sweeps(use pick path and they will flex with the panel.. make a sep top and bot panel family or a visibility parameter to have them on or off.
