View Full Version : Better than Autocad Attributes

Here is something I managed to come up with to serve the same function that "attributes"
served in a "text based block". Admittedly is extremely simple but usefull. How one is suppose to figure these things out without documentation is beyond me ....???
Hope this maybe usefull to others.

Whoops - the family works as a "symbol" just load the family and the "question marks" will become visible in the project. Simple, consistant and quick.

I wish I could only take this one step further. Here is an example of what I am trying to do.
Problem is I would like the parameter to have the ability to expand within the fixed text. I rather doubt this can be presently done within Revit. Sure would be nice.

Sorry I don't know too much about AutoCAD, but what exactly do your attached families do? I'm at home and don't have Revit to open them with.

The families combine fixed and variable text into a single family. A quick way of entering preformated information in a standard format i.e. land legal description, building classification.
