Let's say I have a 1/8" scale floor plan, with an enlarged plan callout of some stairs. Now let's say I do a 1/4" scale callout of one area of the 1/8" floor plan, that includes those stairs, and now I want to have that enlarged stair callout show up on the 1/4" scale drawing, but not on the 1/8" scale drawing. Is there any way to easily do that, if I already have notes and dimensions, etc. on the enlarged stair plan?

Well I think I understand what you are saying, I am a little slow on mondays. Just draw a neew callout and check the little box that says "Reference existing view" and in the pull down select the view you want and you can then place a "dummy" callout that will have numbers linked to your other view. I think this is what you are asking, but like I said, the cortex doesn't fire up till tuesday around lunch time.

If i'm understanding you correctly, go to the 1/8" scale plan and cut the enlarged plan callout to the clipboard. Now open the 1/4" scale callout and Paste Same Place the enlarged plan callout.
Does that work for you ?

Patrick I got the same issue. We use a 1:100 for co-ordination (which needs to show the callout), a 1:100 for CD's (with no callouts) then on the 1:50 (for CD's) we need to see the same callout. Unlike a Section, a Callout seems to be view specific. If you do as BG suggests it then creates another callout. So the copy paste doesn't work. There doesn't seem to be any way of displaying the callout on other views, except by doing what CosmicKP suggests. But with 30 or so callouts to reference, you have to keep it together.
It seems to me there is a loop hole in the "seemless automated co-ordination" unless we are missing something!?

Zeds,
I think the method I described would work in Patricks case, but not in yours, as you have 3 views where the callout displays or not, but he had only two.

Has anyone come up with a solution to this problem?
