Structural beams

I've put in a couple of structural beams (W shape) and they do not show up in elevation views. When I view the model in 3-d they are visible but not in elevation. And in plan they are a single line and not the width of the beam. Any suggestion on what I need to do to see the beam in elevation and plan.

Try changing to Medium or Fine detail level. ( View Propertities )
