ABS 2006 installation problems on XP64

Has anyone been able to install ABS 2006 on XP64? I keep getting an error. Looking at the log file, the error is ".NET Framework 1.1" can not be installed on X64. Has anyone been able to overcome this problem?

So, I've answered my own question, but I will keep this post for others to follow.

The solution is to install .NET verson 2. The download and instruction are on the Microsoft website. Then you have to run the AutoCAD installer using the .msi file.
