Moving from stand alone to network license

My companies IT manager just informed me that our drafting department is switching from the stand alone licenses, that we currently have, to a network license. Can anyone inform me of any pros or cons that this might bring to the our department?

Thanks - ToddPros- It should cost you less overall to hold network licenses.

Cons- You're screwed if the network goes down cause you won't be able to get a license for your software.

Eh. At an extra cost of $500 for network copies, standalone can sometimes be cheaper if you have a high utilization rate of your software as most small firms do.

The network version does allow for redundant serves so you can mitigate the possibility of an outage.

The borrowing feature is very nice compared to the troublesome PLU of the standalone version. We even have it accessible from our VPN so a user at home can check out a license.
