Best way to create area plans?

We have a plan that we want to break up into areas for sheets. What is the best way to have an overall plan and break it up into views? Is it area callouts or copying, renaming ,and cropping views?

Large floor plans are probably better documented on one sheet as a key plan with several callouts referencing detailed plans. I find mangement of duplicate plan views can be more work.
If the plan is really large and can be broken into several discreet buildings you might consider doing them as linked files.

Either method will work fine, which you use depends on how you prefer to direct contractors to each area.
