Ik zou graag in contact komen met nederlandse gebruikers van revit. Bijvoorbeeld architectenbureau's, tekenbureau's, installateurs of constructeurs.

mail: b.obdam@burgergrunstra.nl

Excuse me for saying this in Dutch but I’m looking for some help with an investigation of revit. I’m interested in how other company’s are using the program, we are currently using it for presentations and impressions and finding it a waste to start al over again in 2D for the work drawings. Because of the fact that we are working on really large projects I’m wondering if it’s possible to go all the way with revit.

My english isn't that well so forgive me for the mistakes I made.

Regards,

You need to define what a really large project is. There are many many reasons to take your project from start to finish in Revit, not least of them being your bank balance. You really are wasting time/money if you are going back to a 2D vehicle for your workign drawing phase.

There are people on this forum working on some very large projects and there are tricks that they utilise to get the best from the software but for the majority of projects with a minimum of a gig of ram and a reasonably fast PC you should be able to cover any ground that you need to.

Wes Macauley has written some posts on what you need to consider when looking at larger projects, I suggest you go take a look for these: http://forums.augi.com/showthread.php?t=21979
