I created a baluster type (nested a solid into a family) and inserted it into a round rail.
Works fine on straight runs, and whacks out on the spire.
I'll clean up the stairs, etc., but I wanted to test this before finalizing.

I'm just wondering if anyone else has experienced this prob., and resolved it?

As always, TIA,

Bill

...I'm just wondering if anyone else has experienced this prob., and resolved it?Try building the baluster using the Baluster-panel template instead of the regular baluster. This template behaves better.

I like it. Build it like that. ;-)

Well, I creating the family using the baluster-panel template, and got the same result.
I'm going to try one more time, using a solid extrusion created inside that family, instead of
a nested one, although I don't know how/why that would affect it's performance.

I'll report back.

After creating all elements inside the baluster panel family, and eliminating the nested component,
it works a bit better, although the attachment detail at the base is not correct.
In any event, it'll get me through my meeting without any embarrassing moments.

If anyone knows how to get that bottom attachment resolved, I'd like to hear the tale.

Thanks,

Bill

If anyone knows how to get that bottom attachment resolved, I'd like to hear the tale.Does your baluster include two of the scrolled elements? Did you try using just one and altering the spacing accordingly?
