I've created a newel post for a set of stairs by simply enlarging the stock "square" baluster family. However, look at the attached image of what is happening to the tops of each newel - and only the tops.
Any suggestions on how to remedy this problem?

Can you adjust the extent of the top rail to finish at the face of the newel ?
Like the bottom rail.
Looks good as it is - very Charles Rene Macintosh

Can you post the family and I will take a look?

Here you go Steven, but it's a standard "square" baluster family.

Here you go Steven, but it's a standard "square" baluster family.
The 2 main differences between a post and a baluster from the family side is the post parameter is checked and the void and the top cut angle is deleted. The family you posted is a 5.1 family all the new balusters also have bottom cut angle to work with the new railings and stairs.
Also in the 6.0 baluster directory there is a some sample posts including one that is one "Post-Square.rfa" that would be what you are looking for.
