We had rel 2002 here. A colleague has a 3D drawing with all layers except his elevation points turned off. As soon as he zooms, they disappear! He is using Eaglepoint software that runs with AutoCAD. Any help or nudge in the right direction is appreciated.

A couple of immediate thoughts.
First check Pdsize (and Pdmode) for sensible values.
Secondly is the current view direction normal (plan) to the UCS in which the points were created? If not, larger, more complex styles are easier to see.

Tell him to turn his points back on!
Eagle Point places the users nodes basically on separate layers, example:
My-Points; PNTNO; PNTELV; PNTDES
My-Points being the layer that controls your points, in other words if this layer is frozen so are all of your points, if this layer is locked then so are all of your points, etc...
PNTNO being the default layer that EP assigned to your point numbers, if turned off your point numbers will not display at all even if your main controlling layer is turned on, get it?
the rest of the point layers are setup exactly the same way if you turn them off then you will not see them. You have a much higher level of control of how you can display your points in this type of format and that is why they set it up this way.
for instance, if a surveyor wanted to place down more point node data in a drawing, say like the Northing, Easting, Station Offset, in addition to the rest of the normal data collected on the point you might have a lot of over kill on your finial plot if you could not turn off or freeze what ever you did not want plotted.
So tell them to just look for PNT???? and turn those layers back on and they will see their points..
tell them to email me if they need more help.

Sorry but this will not be the answer to this problem,
PDsize is not really a factor with EP, they do not use it at all, in fact it should be set to just a dot and .05 if any scale at all.
The program uses nodes or real blocks for the points not AutoCAD symbols.
to scale the nodes in EP you can just change you plot scale before your down load or after a down load just use the scaling command in COGO, "Resize Nodes".
This is what you would do if your going from LDT nodes over to EP.

Thanks to both of you. I have forwarded your advice and am awaiting a reply from my colleague. Unfortunately I have no experience with this software and therefore not in a position to tell. I appreciate the help.
