Hey'all
I'm having trouble getting my railings to look right - the top rail is round, and i'd like to get the ballusters to come up to meet it at it's center, but when i set them to the height of the rail, it stops at it's bottom, when i offset it half the diameter of the top rail, it extends above or stops short... How do i get this to work? Also, how do i get the ends to mitre together instead of just stopping near each other? I know i've seen pictures of railings doing better...How do you do it?

TIA for any advice!

Any ides on the above?
In particular how to control the mitre/joining of the railing and the baluster?

Thanks

I see the Attached Thumbnails box, but I don't see anything in it. Is anyone else experiencing this?

I cheat - this is an inplace family sweep on top of a railing. (used a reference plane then a sweep.)

I never came back to post a solution, but what i've done is create ballusters w/ domed tops... that way they match the rounded profile of the railing. I think the behavior of ballusters that they cannot stop in the middle of the rail is a bug, however.
