I know that I have set my Save reminders to something like 1 hour for save and 2 hrs. for STC before, but today I was working on a project, and this evening I was closing several views, got down to the last one and it asked if I wanted to save before closing, and I inadvertently hit No instead of Cancel (I wanted to change to another view before saving). Well lucky me, I had not bothered to save ALL DAY LONG!!!!!

:banghead: :banghead:

Luckily I had already exported everything to send to engineers, but I'm still going to have to redo EVERYTHING I did today from 9 in the morning until 7 in the evening. :(

Looking back, I don't remember ever getting a Save reminder while I was working. I think I had started this project in 7 and then brought it into 8, but I figured my Save Reminder settings would apply to all projects that I open? What's the deal here?

Ouch, I hate it when that happens. So, there are absolutely no autosave type files for revit? Will the journal files help at all? Wow, if revit doesn't have autosave, that definitely needs to be tops in the wishlist. Autosave are second nature these days. Kinda like the undo button, then the redo button.

There is a save reminder setting, which is supposed to pop up a reminder to save at specified intervals, but I thought it was a system setting (applies to all projects)... but it's seeming to be a project setting, and it may not have been set correctly in this project.

The Save Reminder Interval is a global, not a project setting.

Mine is set to 15 mins and I usually follow it.

I've seen users ignore this regularly and get into a mindset that it just doesn't register when it comes up. Not a good habit.

Well I know I was working on another project recently and I had my Save reminder coming up every hour. Today I just looked at the setting and it was set to None. :screwy:
