Hatch patterns elongated

I am using a spanish tile model pattern and it is scaling ok but the tiles are elongated hrizontally , is ther any way to control this?

Hatch patterns are the one thing that still frustrates me in Revit and truly wish was more like AutoCAD. I wish I can scale them and move the insertion point on the fly within the drawing. I keep waiting for some improvement there but nothing yet.
I know that you can only control the scale when importing so that won't help the elongation but if you know how to edit a hatch pattern you can go into it and change some parameters. I personally never learned how to do that so hopefully someone else can help you and maybe I will learn something in the same time.
