How on earth do you get started with Autocad these days ? The last time I tried it, with Autocad LT 95, the package came with a nice User's Guide book which started with the basics. At that point I made some headway but the skills evidently did not stick.
Recently I purchased Autocad LT 2004 - no book and no sensible on-line help for beginners. The Help base produced no hits under either "beginners" or "getting started".
So where do I find a beginners' guide somewhere in this morass ?

"The Dummies Guide ....."
Most U.K. adult education institutes have (Auto)CAD courses.

The big name books on acad ("Inside...", "Mastering...") are all written in american for achitects. If you want something written in english for engineers (and a lot cheaper), look for some of the books by Alf Yarwood, published by Longman Press.
