Hi all,
The default AUSENU template contains some families that don't seem to exist outside the template ie I can't find them anywhere. Is that possible? Eg there's a door tag called AUS Door Tag Boxed, but when I do a search, it can't be found. Does it mean it's a family in place? What I want to do is to modify it to suit . Please help. Thanks.

YOu can always do a save to library and select the family name and save it into the library.

Scott,
I tried doing that but when I click on the Family to save button that particular name is not listed and (in Revit 8) when I right click the family name in the browser the edit command is greyed out - in fact all the AUS annotation symbols have the same problem. Any ideas?

my guess is the family was carried over pre-v 6. Families created prior to 6 cannot be edited within the project, same goes (I think) for saving to library. Anything created before 6 cannot be retrieved.

If you visit the Autodesk Revit web site you'll find the Australian content library is available to download. You might see if it can be found there? I can't give you a link straight to it because Autodesk hides many of their pages behind javascript commands only available from the hosting pages. Here's a link as close as I can get you...
Autodesk Revit Building Content (http://usa.autodesk.com/adsk/servlet/index?siteID=123112&id=3106396&linkID=3770209)
You want to find and click on the following links, in this order:
"Download Revit Building and Additional Tools"
"Autodesk Revit Building 8 Content and Libraries" (under Optional Extras heading)
"Download Templates and Family Libraries for Additional Locales"
Browse down the list to the Australian named files

I have the latest defaultAUSENU template, but it doesn't fix this problem. ( ie the AUS door tag cannot be edited or saved out . ). Looks like a b**. :o
The Australian Content Library does not have this tag either.
I just substituted another door tag and it works fine then.

This must be a version 8 bug. I definitely edited this tag and created a new one in version 7.

Thank you all for your response; I'll do what beegee did - at least I know that the problem wasn't me.
