No Span Direction for roof decks?

Hi all
The span direction feature does not seem to work for roof decks. What's up with that? Is it just me? Whethor it is a steel floor deck or roof deck they both require span indicators.

Confirming that Span Direction works only for floors.

Just to clarify are you talking about generating the roof deck using the Roof command in the Architectural Tab of the design bar? Or using the Slab command in the Basics or Modelling Tab and setting the floor properties type to a Roof Deck? The reason for asking this potentially dumb question is that the latter option does provide the span direction on my current setup.
