Is it possible to establish a View Range without a Cut plane involved. Say I want to show ALL objects between Level 1 (1st Floor) and Level 2 (2nd Floor) without a Cut Plane that might exclude objects not in the Cut Plane. Thanks.

Do you not want to cut though the walls? Then you would just create a roof plan or a plan at the height of the top of your walls, and have the view range from that level and the bottom setting of the view range to whatever the lowest level is you want to see. If you have floor, it will hide the objects below it, so you can turn off roofs, floors and ceilings. And see all the way down.

Thanks for your reply Scott. That helps a lot but just a followup please:

The head height of my doors is 6' 8". If, say, on Level 1 have 9' walls and I set my Cut Plane at 9' my doors disappear. How can I have my Cut Plane at 9' and also my doors and also the wall opening showing as it was when the cut plane was 6' 8"?

I may be asking for too much.

Thanks

If this is just for you to work with (not plot) change to a wireframe view. You'll see everything.

You will set your cut plane to cover most conditions, then use a plan region around your doors and set that to cut at 4' of 6' whateve. plan regions are found under the view tab and you just create a box around any area you want to change the view range of.
