Here's our challege. We've done wall sections. Now we're trying to do section details using callouts. We spent time in wall sections putting solid white filled regions over areas that weren't perfect and drawing model lines over those to get the wall sections just right. Now, when we go to callout views, those filled regions disappear and we're back at square one covering stuff up again and drafting over it...any ideas??
thanks
John

Sure, just copy them from the section and "paste aligned current view" in the callout. This should work for filled regions, detail components as well as drafting lines. The only thing that you may have done that will not copy is linework, that is view specific. HTH

So are Edited Cut Profiles...
I do it enough I just do the old Ctrl+C trick and have a keyboard shortcut (CV) for 'current view' aligned paste.

When I draw details, I generally use the model as a background to draw the detail with. When the detail is done, it is composed entirely of detail components and detail lines, and then I turn the model off in that view.

Is it just details or are you referring to sections and elevations as well? If so, that seems like a lot of unnecessary work...and you are also losing out on a lot of the automated coordination Revit offers. How do you catch all the changes?

No, I'm referring only to the large scale (1 1/2" = 1'-0") section details and plan details. We use the model for all of the other views.
