Why is it that certain parameters, such as Head Height, will appear in the properties of a window that has been inserted in a plan, but not in the window file itself under Family Types?

Head height is built on the fly when a window family is inserted in a project - it just adds the sill height and height to give you head height. Change the head or sill and the other is automatically adjusted. ...just the way it happens to be.
