Problem exporting 3D DWFs

I'm having some difficulty in trying to get my models to export in 3D DWF form.
Are there some rules to "setting" up a model to export, that I'm not aware of?
2D export works fine and very simple models will export, but my real projects will not.
I have downloaded the latest writer and I am working in a network version of 8.1 on a
HP XW4100, XP Pro(sp1) 2 gig Ram.
3D from the file menu is available and prompts me to place and name the file, but
at that point it locks up and I have to end the program.
I want to use some of these in a Power Point and others I want to pass along to
consultants and clients.

Any thoughts or suggestions would be appreciated.

It's usually working but very slowly. Make sure you save to a local drive and if you have your accurender library on a network drive then change that location to somewhere local in your options (odd but seems to work).

like Exar Kun said the problem is with accurender library being on a network, i had the same problem with exporting 3D dwg as well...

Changing the Accurender paths to local did the trick.
