Hi,
Does anyone know if you can insert a graphic scale onto a Revit titleblock and have it update graphicallty as the plan scale changes? If so, is it possible for Revit to automatically add a new graphic scale to the drawing as new scaled views are added to a sheet. This would be a great feature if Revit can do this.
Thanks.

See this particular thread for a big discussion we had about bar scales some time back, if you wade through the first page or two it gets to the parametric part:

Question....
I downloaded the scales that scott provides. But there is still no scale attached to the title bar itself right?

I was looking at the View title family and...it has the text say 1/8" = 1'-0" set as the label: view scale. So, when I insert say a floor plan in the sheet it grabs the scale from the floor plan say 1/4" = 1'-0" and puts it in view scale label and displays it in View title. So, what I am wondering is, is there a way to integrate this with Scott's graphic scale family ?
So, I am proposing this...dont really know if it works.
We insert scott graphic revit family in the view title family and somehow it is linked to the view scale label...so it knows which scale to grab...like when the view scale label is 1/4"=1'-0" it will grab that scale....I will try to work on this over the weekend...but thought would get the ball rolling by letting it out to the group...please contribute...
Thanks
