I imported a floor plan I from a project I did BR. (before Revit) I am doing an addition and renovation to the plan. I don't want to redraw the existing plan. I want to set up the project in phases. It worked fine for the second floor but not for the first. All the lines in the second floor are Model Lines and the first floor lines are Detail Lines. I tried to change the lines to Existing but there is no category in the property window for Detail Lines. Any suggestions? Thanks.

Why did you use Detail Lines? They are not able to be phased, as far as I know.

I think you can export your detail lines and re import them and they will become model lines, do a search on tips and tricks for changing detail to model lines.

Or reimport your cad drawing and make sure current view only is NOT check, then they will become model lines when exploded.

I tried the import and explode. It works! It turns the lines into model lines. I learn something new every day I'm on AUGI!

One thing of note that I ripped from the help...
You cannot explode an import symbol that would yield more than 10,000 elements.

Thanks. I didn't use Detail Lines. It just became Detail Lines when I exploded the drawing.

Scott:
That didn't work. Where is the setting "not current view" when you import?

lower left corner of the import link dialog box.
