Want a wall under countertop to show as hidden line

I'm trying to show a wall that we put under a 12"wide x 42" high bar on a residential countertop (like an "L" shape that divides a kitchen from dining). How can I make it display as hidden lines? Thanks.

Here's one way to do this.

Select the "Linework" button. (or Tools-Linework)
Choose the Hidden linetype from the Type drop down menu. (it should say <By Category> by default)
Select (left-click) the lines you want to change.
