What can I do about a project which has now crashed 7 times?

This job needs to be complete today.

Need more info, what is causing the crash, is it something you can reproduce? If so you need to send your file into support, If you file your request now and mark it as urgent, they can get it back usually pretty quick. When I've had a project repeatedly crash it is usually easy to identify an object causing the problem. First issue to verify is that you have hardware accel. turned off and open gl off. If thats not it, then its something wrong with the file and the factory needs to see it.

I had a crashing problem once... I some how edited some elements in a way that Revit shouldn't have allowed, but did...

Besides what's already been suggested, you can try:

Go to menu: Tools > Review Warnings...

See if there's any warnings that you need to take a closer look at - sometimes just deleting the offending element fixes the problem.

Hope you get that fixed!

It seems to crash each time I change plan views. If I add a guard rail to level 2, it will be hosted on level 1. All windows on level 1 which have transom windows above have disappeared from the plan leaving an empty wall opening in their place. When dragging some level indicators in elevation, earlier in the day, the levels snapped to a peculiar position. I reset them to 3-D extents and they appeared fine.

How do I send my file into support?

If you are on subscription go tho the subscription center at autodesks website. If not, I don't know how you do it. Sounds like your workplane is set wrong in the view where things are being placed on the wrong level. also check the view properties of the plan view and make sure its associated level is the correct level. You didn't by any chance copy the first floor level and change its cut plane to make it a second floor plan?

Yes I have a subscription and have not submitted the file for review. Thank you.

No, I did not knowingly copy any levels. As I said something peculiar happened while dragging some level indicators in elevation. May be that was an indication that something went wrong.

In Revit 8.0, go to Help>Create Support Request. You can also email your file to revitsupport@autodesk.com, unless its large. If so, email text only and request FTP access to upload your file.
