i'm trying to use the 'dot' linetype in a plan and profile drawing, and i cannot get the dots to line up where i want them. i want there to be one dot every "foot" on the profile and can't seem to get it to land where i want. does the linetype scale line up somehow with your drawing scale, or do you just have to experiment until you get it?

Have you thought about using the Measure command to place points along the curve at exactly 1 feet intervals, and changing the point display mode to circle?

Hi

I assume you have played with / read up on the below system variables...

CELTScale
LTScale
PSLTScale

Have a good one, Mike

No offence Mike but if someone else comes along and changes any of the SYSVARS it FURBARS the drawing.

Depending on what you want, make a block (Again just in case the SYSVARS get changed) out of a circle or a donut and then use the MEASURE command to space them at 1 foot intervals.

Also if you don't want the line to plot put it on a "noplot" layer and the end product will only show the dots without you needing to erase the line. (Because we all know that the alignment will change at least 4 times before the eng. finally makes up their mind)
