Got a quick one question with not much detail (Sorry)
Revit 8.0 using Worksets
80 MB project
Crashing when exporting to .dwg (Error: An Unrecoverable error has occurred...)
User CAN"T export to .dwg or .dxf
User CAN export to .dgn
On a related note - when attempting to export recently, instead of a .dwg and a .pcp, they get (2) .pat files. How weird is that... They are named: FP1_1.pat and FP1_2.pat.
Any suggestions?

Its getting hung up on exporting a dwg that has been linked in, those.pat files are what revit creates while it exports dwgs(I think) not sure why. Once the file is fully exported they go away. Anyway, try turning off all dwg's before export. If that doesn't work, disconnect your network cable and export to your local drive.

I also had the same problem when exporting a batch of dwg. Revit just hung and never even exported a single file. This seems to be new with 8, never had a problem before. We were able to export the individual views one by one but it took a long time.
I think the problem was creating the sheets with linked base files. When we switched to just creating the base plans it exported just fine.
