Reveals and Materials

Is there a way to tell a reveal what material it is supposed to cut into? I have a brick wall with a base brick up to 2' and then a second color field brick above. When I do a hosted sweep reveal in the field brick, it acts like it's cutting into the base brick. I've attached an image showing one instance of this. I can paint the reveal to match, but I don't really want to.

Seems that it takes the properties of the lowest material in a vertically compound wall. You can paint the surfaces of the reveal with your base brick (just tab until you get the reveal face).
