NEW USER! I am practicing trying to build a multi pitch hip roof with 1) equal facia board heights 2) equal soffit depths and 3) the corner of the facia board being in the proper location to the walls ie "normal". I know the hip wont go back 45 dg due to the different pitches.
In the attached file I drew a basic rectangle and created roof by foot print. 2 walls are 30dg and 2 are 37.5dg. The also extend to roof core and have a 2' offset. After completion the roof lifted itself way off level 2 where it was created. I know I can fix it by doing using the align tool but I prefer to know what I did wrong and also does the roof meet all three criteria I have listed.
