This may be a general cad question but my issue occurred using Map 2006.
When I select File > Open I have lost the dialog box to browse to the file I want to open.
Instead I get a command line prompt for the file name I wish to open. I can open from the list of recently used files and I can use explorer to open but sometimes I need to open multiple drawings and I have to browse to find the correct ones. I have looked for a solution in the options/preferences but have not figured it out. Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Glad that worked

Nope, its not Astroboy. Its Photon Earth from the show Photon: The Idiot Adventures. A six episode anime that is a little on the obscure side. :-)
