Detail component visibility

I’ve got a detail component (brick cill) set up in a family to show only when cut. The problem is it’s a window family with shutters. So when I cut thru shutter the brick cill shows in section. Any suggestions on how not to show cill detail when I only cut thru the shutter. Or would the only solution be to model cill? Please help

In the section view goto visibility graphics and switch of detail items. this should switch off the nested detail component.
