I built a log wag using a round profile for the sweep for the log construction, and it slowed down REVIT a lot. Would an angular profile (maybe octagonal) for the log section run faster in REVIT? Thanks.
And thanks to the kind people who helped me to develop log walls in the first place.

Yes, the computer will be faster with an angular profile than a round one. However, I have done curved log walls before and I didn't really notice a problem with speed.
FYI: I learned about the effect curvy families can have on speed when I had a project with railings made up of fancy balusters and my computer was taking forever to regenerate the views. It is apparently intensive for the computer to calculate the visible edge of a 3D curved surface. This usually isn't noticeable because typically there are only a few curved elements in a project, but when you have a family such as a fancy curved baluster which is repeated hundreds of times it can really slow things down.
