wall sweep and wall sub-category

How do I get the wall sweep to go on a wall sub-category so I can control the visibility? This is a sweep integrated in the wall style. I am sure it must be really simple but it is escaping me. Appreciate any help.

Im thinking to put the sweep on a subcategory you need it to be a hosted sweep, ie not a sweep thats actually in the wall type.

It is a lot easier and much more productive to include the sweep in the wall. I am talking abuot a base and crown molding. But I don't want to see them in plan. It seems that there should be a way to control their visabilty. This is elementry as far as I am concerned. I can't beleive we can't do that.
