I am preparing a General Notes sheet for my set of construction doments and I am using the TEXT option from the DRAFTING menu. This text editor seems to be very difficult to work with as far as aligning text, formating fonts, etc. Is there another text editor in Revit that is better suited for creating notes?

Take a look at this thread for some ideas.

Thanks Andrew.

I will try these different options. It looks like the AutoCAD 2004 file linking suggested by Steve Stafford may work best for me.

I just prefer to avoid using AutoCAD if possible but this shortcoming with the Revit text editor gives me no other choice.

Be aware that the 2004 formatting of tabs if used will produce yucky results. So, may be best to save as 2000 (tabbing wasn't available in 2000 mtext) format to retaining bold formatting etc. I had great hopes that the tabs in 2004 would hold when linked into Revit, but it doesn't work...unless this new build fixed it, haven't looked lately...maybe I should huh?
